Tshepiso Thindisa studied at the University of Pretoria and qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a specialisation in Human Physiology.

Tshepiso Thindisa studied at the University of Pretoria and qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a specialisation in Human Physiology. This degree afforded Tshepiso the opportunity to develop her interests in health and welfare. Upon her completion of the BSc degree, Tshepiso pursued a qualification in Dietetics also at the University of Pretoria. Dietetics allowed her further insight into the art and science of human nutrition.

After dietetics internship training and community service, Tshepiso honed the skills of applying an evidenced-based nutrition care process to various disease conditions in different stages of life with emphasis on a multidisciplinary team approach.

Tshepiso’s key focus areas of interest are:

– diseases of lifestyle (high cholesterol, diabetes and high blood pressure)

– personalised dietary plans and guidance towards general healthy eating

– infant and young child feeding

– healthy eating during pregnancy and lactation

– undernutrition in children and adults

Tshepiso continues to value working within a multidisciplinary team with the aim of providing comprehensive and evidence-based care to the patient.
